Air Waybill

Air Waybill (AWB) or air consignment note refers to a receipt issued by an international courier company for goods and is evidence of the contract of carriage, but it is not a document of title to the goods. Hence, the AWB is non-negotiable. Airway bills are shipper-specific (i.e. USPS, Fed-Ex,UPS, DHL, etc). Airway bills should be filled out by the consignor or their agent. Very similar to the Bill of Lading used for water going vessels.
